the magic wardrobe
IKEA recently had a contest where fashion designers were asked to display their own work and
create the perfect shop inside IKEA's famous PAX-wardrobe! This weekend the 25 finalists had their
collections exhibited in a pop-up shop on biblioteksgatan in stockholm. all visitors could vote for their
favorite designer - i was very impressed by ida wadenrud's work. she creates beautiful skirts, dresses
and blouses that remind you of fairytales, dolls, and characters from a 1920's theatre!

gustaf tenggren
this is a lovely little book i bought in a vintage store when i was in new york. the beautiful images
are made by the swedish-american illustrator gustaf tenggren. he used to be the chief illustrator for
the Walt Disney company in the late 1930s.

the park above ground
the High Line is a NY city park built on a former elevated railroad track. it runs for 2 km along the
lower west side of manhattan, in the Meatpacking District. walking through the park is such a great
experience! the view is fantastic - you see the Hudson River on one side and some amazing buildings
and city sights on the other. it's a must to visit the park when you're in NY!
