the magic wardrobe

IKEA recently had a contest where fashion designers were asked to display their own work and
create the perfect shop inside IKEA's famous PAX-wardrobe! This weekend the 25 finalists had their
collections exhibited in a pop-up shop on biblioteksgatan in stockholm. all visitors could vote for their
favorite designer - i was very impressed by ida wadenrud's work. she creates beautiful skirts, dresses
and blouses that remind you of fairytales, dolls, and characters from a 1920's theatre!

gustaf tenggren

this is a lovely little book i bought in a vintage store when i was in new york. the beautiful images
are made by the swedish-american illustrator gustaf tenggren. he used to be the chief illustrator for
the Walt Disney company in the late 1930s.

i was very excited to hear that i won one of the giveaways on finelittleday's blog! it's a very pretty
necklace from dressmaker malinka. she also makes beautiful dresses using Liberty fabrics.

shop news!

some fun news! two of my illustrations have been printed on cutting boards that are now available
in my shop. also perfect to use as a tray!

the park above ground

the High Line is a NY city park built on a former elevated railroad track. it runs for 2 km along the
lower west side of manhattan, in the Meatpacking District. walking through the park is such a great
experience! the view is fantastic - you see the Hudson River on one side and some amazing buildings
and city sights on the other. it's a must to visit the park when you're in NY!
