it was a friend's birthday yesterday so we gave her this card made by illustrator gemma correll. i always enjoy visiting gemma's blog to see her quirky drawings of cats and pugs. below is a pic of my friend karin's cute business card - she's another talented illustrator who has a fun blog worth a visit. pic 3 and 4 show a chocolate/marshmallow sweet that you can get in finland - i love the wrapping!

elle girl korea have asked me to take photos of my favorite magazines, this is one of them. frankie is a quirky and very creative magazine from Australia. It covers topics such as art, music, photography, craft, illustration, design and fashion. the pinocchio eggcup, the watch and my glasses are treasures from vintage shops. the bear pin is from a children's store in stockholm, the bow was a gift from a friend and the photograph is taken from a greeting card i bought in portland, oregon.
i used to watch this stop motion animation series when i was a kid, each episode was five minutes long. love how it's all made out of paper, must have been so much fun to create each character! this version is in swedish but the series is originally from the netherlands and was created by leen valkenier.

my mom sent me these pics - she discovered that my two prints Deertree and Happy Birthday were in the latest issue of swedish magazine family living. in one of their previous issues they mentioned the memo game i illustrated for designista. thanks family living and thanks mom for letting me know!
